With Badge's API, Jampack launched 60k wallet passes across multiple events in the first month live.
Jampack is a hospitality platform, enabling event organizers to bundle everything from hotels, restaurants and entertainment add-ons for festivals, tours, sports events, and conferences. Powering events in over 90 countries worldwide, Jampack makes it easy for event creators to drive attendance through curated, all-in-one packages.
In pursuit of even more elevated experiences, Jampack partnered with Badge to enable mobile wallet event passes for event attendees.
The Challenge
The Jampack team recognized that offering Apple and Google mobile wallet event passes was an increasingly in-demand offering. But their use case had unique complexity that had previously hindered their ability to integrate with mobile wallets:
“Group leaders” account for the majority of Jampack’s sales, purchasing tickets on behalf of multiple people.
A single attendee can have multiple tickets for all the different sub-events, e.g., one for the concert, one for the hotel, etc.
In addition to an enhanced event experience, Jampack also wanted to offer event creators an effective channel to reach and engage users before and after an event.
The Solution
With Badge’s APIs, Jampack found a solution for their previous complexity challenges.
Because the Pass Template Creation and Create Pass Template Revision APIs are highly flexible, they enabled Jampack event creators to launch and issue passes according to any event trigger, while each pass could contain any pass logic. This allowed them to create one pass per person, with each of that person’s add-ons tied to a single pass.
Now, instead of having to create multiple, static passes per attendee, which would become obsolete anytime event information changed, Jampack’s event creators can issue a single dynamic pass to each of their attendees, replete with ticket information, event offers and an always-on channel to reach attendees before and after the live event.
Results
In their first month live, Jampack issued 60,000 mobile wallet passes across multiple events, including Osheaga, Bourbon & Beyond, and Portola.
As they continue to scale their business, Jampack is integrating Badge as a core feature within their platform offering.
